below zero

so it’s below zero. can folks who live in warm weather states even imagine that? it’s times like this that the song from “miss saigon” loops in my head – you know the one where she belts out “why god…why today!” we had a lazy day on saturday. it was nice to do nothing but vegg out on the couch, keeping warm and watching brainless movies & shows. everyone needs to do this more often. sunday was a day of chores – did a crazy clean up of the homestead since we got friends staying with us for a few days. and when i clean…i get super obsessive. mopping just one room in the house isn’t enough even when you know people are coming over within the hour. it’s like something in me just doesn’t want waste that half-bucket full of pine sol on 101 sq. feet of space. i tend to clean when i’m mad at the husband (part of my anger management goals), hosting something at the house, or about to leave on a trip. everytime i leave for an extended trip i always have to obsessively clean so that i can come home to a spic and span place. anyone else do this? happy early birthday to miss helene. i had a great time at the dinner party except that you sat me next to two crazy pinays!!! the older lady kept taking pictures in which we’d pose for atleast 10 minutes until she snapped it. and the younger lady had this big ass prehistoric camera – i think people called it a polaroid. all was well until the fat bill came. i swear whenever we’re in a group – we always end up overpaying our tab. i don’t mind if it’s a few bucks but i’m pretty sure we overpaid like double what we owed. but it was a birthday party and we were with friends so i’m not suppose to fuss about it – eventhough i did, which i guess was a social faux pas. oh well – i’m not good with manners. i don’t plan on leaving the house on days like this. but we need to get cat litter. hmmm…should we brave the weather to get much needed cat litter or risk that our kitty might poop all over the house. eek! below zero – WDF!!!!
