20 minutes from being picked up for the airport.
i leave seattle only slightly filled. i don’t think i’ve ever been this disappointed in a trip to seattle. i’m surrounded by fragmentation and the dismal weather doesn’t help any. and to think i came early so i can hang and reconnect with fam. but maybe i’m just being selfish. the lesson here is clear – never come to seattle during the winter. and never assume people will make time out for you. the rain and gloom is the reason why the suicide rate is so high. i’m thankful for those who did make the time to cross paths. for those who took me in. for breaking veggie bread. for the conversations over lost and 24. for the conversations of burials and rebirth. for those who remembered the dream of a thing called onelove. maybe this is closure. isangmahal will live as a moment that changed me forever. i am thankful for that.

on the other hand, the show & students of rajana society at UW-Seattle was awesome. extremely filling. i met some good guys. props to all whom i shared the stage with. truly blessed. i am also reminded why my work is so important. and how we really do need to work on multiple levels. more about the show later. pictures will come of me jumping at the space needle and posing with rappers!

The summit is for non-Khmer people to get to know local and national members of the Khmer community. The summit is for the Khmer community to come together and culturally engage with one another in a prejudice-free atmosphere. The Khmer arts summit is open to the public, so make your presence known.
